Jeep’s slow descent into chonk.
Also, why are you guys still crediting the images you've taken?

The bloat is real. I don’t think there is any new vehicle that is the same weight or lighter than its 20-30 year old counterpart, at least in North America. The Miata is close but I think still about 50-100 lbs heavier than an NA/NB.

Indeed. Joops have jomped in weight.
Also, isn't it really early where you are? Good morning.

Which is impressive given how much more stuff you get in a current Miata. Two door Jeeps really might not be that far off.

Late 90s
TJ Wrangler
was about 3000 lbs, a new 2 door Wrangler Sport is 3900. Only about half a ton heavier...

I still had to credit the image in a post I made yesterday. Must be a new change.

You can select “In-house art” then you don’t have to credit... except if you want to put a description to the photo...

I’ll have to give that a try

As I recall, the 2.0L is a pretty heavy motor for its size. I think the base model you can get anywhere not in North America got a 1.5L, which put that ND almost even with the NA in terms of weight.

That’s really not that bad for how it is a much safer and physically larger vehicle.

I guess this makes good afternoon. It is now 11:05 in Georgia.
